Dear Editor:

Sen. Santorum's outspoken support for criminalizing sex between
homosexuals is an attack on individual rights and freedom.

Individuals have the moral right--and thus should have the legal
right--to engage in *any* consensual sexual acts, which, by
*definition,* are voluntary and do not violate anyone's rights.

The proper purpose of government is to protect every individual's right
to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness--not to enforce religious
notions of morality. The denial of an individual's liberty to choose a
sex partner and to act on that choice is a violation of his rights.

Hopefully, the U.S. Supreme Court will honor the principles on which
this country was founded and recognize that the government has no
business regulating sexual activity between consenting adults.

Sincerely,

David Holcberg
