Dear Editor:

The re-election of Cuba to the U.N. Human Rights Commission--chaired by
terrorist-sponsoring Libya--demonstrates the total moral bankruptcy of
the United Nations.

Cuba, which has recently jailed 75 political dissidents and has a long
record of human rights violations, is a brutal communist dictatorship
founded on the principle that individuals have *no* rights. As the
recent executions of three men who hijacked a ferryboat to flee Cuba
demonstrate, Cubans don't even have the right to *leave* the country.

Outraged at Cuba's election to the U.N. Human Rights Commission, the
U.S. representative walked out of the meeting. The United States should
follow his example and walk out of the United Nations.

Sincerely,

David Holcberg
