SEATTLE PREMIERE OF MUFFIN MAN

 

                                                             Film puts a new
twist on "fat acceptance" 

 

November 17, 2003, Seattle, WA ---  Muffin Man, a film that takes an
uncomfortably hilarious look at the obesity epidemic and social excess that
leads to the extinction of the human race , will have its North American
premiere on Thursday, December 11, in Bellevue at the Regal Galleria
theater.  Cast and crew, as well as local luminaries, will attend the
screening.   

Shot entirely in and around Seattle, Muffin Man was produced by Pickle Tub
Productions Inc., a Seattle-based film production company headed by Jessica
Eisner, M.D. and David Workman. 

            "We are pleased that those people directly involved in the
making of Muffin Man and members of the local Seattle community will be able
to see a film that represents a unique voice and story," said the film's
director, Eisner.  "It's especially important since I believe obesity is the
biggest health threat our society is currently facing."

Muffin Man is a futuristic comedy about anthropologists from a distant
galaxy who are studying an ancient planet:  Earth.  Presented in the style
of the Discovery Channel gone wild, the "history lesson" follows the
evolution of the human race from Homo Sapiens (Modern Man) to Homo Twinkus
(also known as . "Muffin Man"), while simultaneously interweaving an
engaging love story.

Pickle Tub Productions was formed in August of 2000 as an outlet for
creative pursuits. The company was incorporated in September of 2002 in
preparation for production of its first independent feature film, Muffin
Man. The founders of Pickle Tub Productions have combined fiduciary talent
with that of writers, artists, filmmakers, and technical specialists who
plan to make a global impact via their creative expression.
