2003 WebAward Winners Now Available

The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the winners of its
seventh annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. More than
1,000 sites from 19 countries were adjudicated in 80 industry categories
during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design,
innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and use of
technology.

The WebAward competition format allows web sites to compete head to head
with other sites within their industry to win the Best of Industry
awards. Sites also compete against an overall standard of excellence to
win Outstanding Website and Standard of Excellence WebAwards. 

The 2003 Best of Show WebAward is presented to Disney Interactive for
their outstanding work on Hot Shot Business

awarded Best Education and Best Game WebAwards. Hot Shot Business is a
fast-paced simulation game for budding entrepreneurs. Kids open their
own pet spa, skateboard factory, or comic shop. They’ve got to think
fast and act faster to keep their business growing. 

Fry, Inc. <http://www.frymulti.com>  was named Top Agency at the 2003
WebAward Competition, taking home 17 awards, more that any other
organization in the competition. This is the first year for the Top
Agency Award given to recognize the consistently outstanding development
going on at interactive firms. This is the second year in a row that
Fry, Inc. took home more WebAwards that any other competitor. 

The 2003 WebAward Competition was sponsors include Google, BURST! Media,
Perseus Software, VentureDirect Worldwide, Velocity Micro, Line 56
Media, AdWeek and Internet World. The Web Marketing Association thanks
it sponsors for helping to make this annual competition possible. 

The annual WebAward Competition is conducted by the Web Marketing
Association, Inc. (WMA), an independent organization founded with the
purpose of evaluating and recognizing the standard of excellence on the
