ATTENTION: ASSIGNMENT, NEWS, AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS EDITORS

TUESDAY, APRIL 6 - Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge is coming to Seattle to participate in a Homeland Security from the Citizens' Perspective Town Hall at Seattle University, Campion Ballroom, 11am - 12:30pm.  The purpose of this town hall is to hear from Seattle citizens about their homeland security concerns, and their ideas to make Seattle and the nation safer.
 
This Town Hall is free and open to the public, however space is limited. Visit www.excelgov.org to register or call 202-530-3242 for information.  We encourage you to disseminate this information as widely as possible.
 
In addition to Secretary Ridge, panel participants will include: Major General Timothy J. Lowenberg, Adjutant General, Washington State Committee on Terrorism and Homeland Security Advisor to the Governor; A.D. Vickery, Deputy Chief, Seattle Fire Department; Dr. Delores Gibbons, Superintendent, Renton School District of King County; and Patricia McGinnis, CEO and President, Council for Excellence in Government.  The town hall will be moderated by Frank Sesno, veteran television journalist.
