[IMC-Editorial] Misinformation Campaign/ Bogus Posting

Hello IMCista's.  My name is Nate and I'm an organizer of the Eastern
Forest Defense Camp.  I'm writing to inform you of a misinformation
tactic/campaign that,using IMC's, has been used by someone to
attack/discredit our group.  If you as editors or techs could pass some of
this info on to appropriate folks, that would be great.  We also
understand and appreciate to IMC's policy of deleting weblogs, however
this tactic could be very problematic to other groups in the future.  Has
this been happening to other groups as well?  What can be done?  Is there
anyway to find a responsible party?

The tactic utilizes the IMC network to repost an announcment about our
camp.  The group that reposted our announcement made several differnt
changes to the announcment; some subtle, some very drastic.  These may
include changing the date, changing sponsors to Maine Audubon Society or
Hammas, or advertising violent/"terrosit" styled workshops.
