Kia ora,

I can see Vancouver's point of view. Ideological censorship
is a slippery slope and in itself threatens the co-operation
between diverse radical elements that makes up Indymedia.
One we establish that it's ok to censor fascists, then
people start calling to censor christians or marxists or
whoever.

On the other hand I agree it is unacceptable for ANY group
to leach Indymedia's resources to push their own ideology
whether fascist, anarchist or whatever. Indymedia is a NEWS
and ANALYSIS service, not a soap box. So I think the careful
wording of editorial policies needs to be used. If we are
purging ANYTHING from Indymedia databases we need to clearly
explain why in terms anyone (not just activists) can
understand. That's the reason for requiring a publicly
available editorial policy from any IMC affiliated to the
global network.
