Hi everyone,

I'm working to get SA IMC to post a formal request for funds to the
imc-finance@indymedia.org list for our consideration.  There is a
clear-cut immediate need for funding to help support the basic media
production costs and we will be utilizing the process we passed for
"emergency funding":

"For making fund allocations we will follow the following decision-making
timeline:

EMERGENCY FUNDING: 2 Days"

I know that due to time constraints multiple IMCs will not be able to
formally consense on this issue and that this disbursement decision will
need to be made by the IMC liaisons on this list -- this is the nature of
emergency funding and a responsibility that we have as members of the
Global Finance Working Group.  Please understand the dire financial
situation facing the SA IMC; we are all working to ensure a transparent
and democratic process that meets the needs of IMC participants -- even if
it is under necessarily quick funding decision-making process.
