Is imc- finance "open to anyone"?
Toni, and friends,
Thank you all for your interest in clarifying what
exactly our Membership status is, and what,
essentially is the meaning of all the resolutions we
adopted in the Spring of 2002.
If things are only a case of simple misunderstanding,
or of simple confusion, then it would have been so
simple all these months to resolve this pending issue.
But see, what happened was that immediately after the
imc- finance working group adopted the Membership-
definition resolutions proposed by the London Working
Group, questions began arriving from imc groups with
requests to clarify. And here is the answer by the
London Working Group, the authors of the resolution
itself, interpreting it beyond any doubt: "finance
group, like all other wg's is open to anyone". Please
read it here:

Now, the most recent (Aug 30) letter from Toni (member
of the London Working Group) seems to be implying a
willingness to change the interpretation of our
Membership concepts. If that is true, I honestly
embrace and welcome it. The atmosphere of confusion
which was generated among us around those concepts in
the Spring came mostly from that group, and I really
would like to see an initiative from that direction to
redress the situation. If it means that we need to
re-define our definitions collectively, so be it, let's
do it! It will definitely increase the validity of any
financial decisions we will make together - so far, I'm
sorry to say, our process is not really valid by any
definition.
Toni, thanks for the willingness to reverse, or at
least to review, the London Working Group's policy, and
I look forward to an atmosphere of better co-operation.
Thanks,
Petros
