[Imc-finance] Proposal from India IMC

Hello

I am Amuthan from India, part of Madurai collective
working with India IMC.

We are planning following activities from Madurai.

1) Producing short documentaries (duration : less than
30 minutes) on local struggles and initiatives by
people's movements, community organisations, activists
in and around Tamilnadu. We see globalisation and
communalisation as two major problems threatening to
take people's lives and livelihoods here.

We will make such documentaries in association with
people's movements, community organisations, activists
and other democratic and secular forces who are either
directly or indirectly involved in struggles and
initiatives.

2) Organising Screening Programmes of the videos
produced by us and other groups all over India and the
world on various issues such as people's struggles and
initiatives against globalisation, human rights
violations, environment, gender and other related
issues.

3) We will also post such documentaries (shorter form)
on to our site www.india.indymedia.org regularly.

WE NEED FOLLOWIND EQUIPMENT 

1) mini dv camcorder and accessories 
2) video projector, television, vcd player, vcr's
3) editing equipment - computer, editing software,
hardware and tapes.
