I don't know how many of you all have seen the Iraqjournal.org site
check it out...

Reports from this site has been used by Democracy Now! Freespeech TV,
Freespeech radio news, and many journals and newsweeklies..

Many of the reports on indymedia could be similarly used, but they are
not always posted in high enough resolution to make this sort of
secondary use possible.
I helped to initiate the Iraq site and sort of in response to the
success of that, Deep Dish will be receiving a grant to continue this
sort of work.  These funds could be spent to enable several imcs to
upgrade their tech to handle this sort of posting. There may also be
funds for translation of international texts to English and vice versa.

When and if the funds come through, I would like to work with this list
and also imc tech to determine the most appropriate use for them.  There
will be around $15,000.
