hi,
something useful i´ve been doing in the last coupple was trying to get
relevant information translated. Sometimes i´ve done it myself, many many
times i just asked translation team by sending an e-mail request.
There was no need to set up timeline, usually the active pt and es lists do
it pretty soon.
There has been coordination between spanish and portuguese translations, and
recently we started to share some information with IMC Portugal. IMC Uruguay
uses twiki frequently as a tool for many volunteers to share the work and
there is a good collaborative enviroment betwen us. Surely this could not
be done without the effort of a lot of individuals ;)
As for the proposals from imc-finance, our local liason is doing summarys in
portuguese, and CC Imc Brasil list.
Finnaly, i can say there is a lot of energy to keep local groups informed,
even though i can´t (and is definitely not my intention) speak for others
then IMC-BH.
Thanks for Liz and IMC St. Louis to raise such an important subject for the
network ;)
solidarity,
dri

Hello all,

the StL IMC had a meeting on 6-4 and we had a few questions about how the
translation process works. Is there a timeline for when translations must
be completed?

in to which languages do the proposals get translated?

Do all finance proposals automatically get sent to the translation lists?

Is the author responsible for getting the proposal translated before it
becomes an official proposal?

We think it is a good idea to set the timeline based on when the
translations are completed, to make the process fair for all language
speakers.
