In finance we discussed first the FF issue. The grant process has
stopped, as Shacha explained, and is now over. Solidarity between imc's
was more important than any money. Most agreed that the problem in this
issue was bad communication, and noone is to be under doubt for their
intentions. There was a concern on where the limits of receiving money
is, in order not to jeopardize the autonomy and radicalism of the
network. Eneryone agreed that local imc's are free to choose their
funding sources, in sake of local autonomy. You can find a summary on
the discussion regarding the FF grant here:

The discussion was next turned on how we can work on more clear and
participatory network-wide finance processes. The creation of some
guidelines, on where to receive money from, was suggested. In general
the need to improve process of IMC-finance was adrressed. People want
summaries of the list's discussion because they can't keep up with all
the e-mails. A good place to post these summaries could be imc-
communication.
the issue of Global south imc's participation in finance desicion
making was especially mentioned. Most people from those imc's dont's
understand english, and definitely don't have the same privileges when
it comes to lists participation. So many people think that an effort
should be made to help Global south imc's participate in finance
process. It was suggested that some people, living in the "developed
countries", could work as liasons with the South, translating summaries
etc.
People liked the idea of a strictly finance IRC meeting, in order to
address those, and more, finance issues. Time and agenda to be
discussed in the imc-finance list, and announced through the global
lists (imc-communication, imc-commwork etc.)
Finally a reminder. Many people didn't know that IMC-Finance has a
process and a summary. This process was already used to send money to
SA-IMC during the Rio+10 summit, about one month ago. The running
summary of imc-finance is here:

Hope i didn't forget something :)
