Everything Ilias wrote (from the athens imc group)
represents me personally, and also our collective in
Cyprus.

Pretending that this is an issue of "local autonomy" is
an irresponsible position which serves to cover up
*huge* gaps in our political understanding of
globalization, imperialism, and Empire.

The naked truth is this: Indymedia is a *political*
association, specifically defined by our radical
politics. As soon any one of us accepts money from the
Ford Foundation, whatever credibility we have in our
communities will be shot to hell. If this happens, I
know that Cyprus Indymedia will not only pull out of a
discretided imc immediately, we will also actively
organise to build a new one.

Let's please come to our senses.
