i am happy of sheri's reply
i find it in the mood i would have liked all this discussion to happen
(as italy imc statement also underlines)
I think that we have a two phases situation
1. clarify whether or not proceed with the fund (seems to me most
collective email go in a definite way (and sheri express the "no
reasons") failry well in terms of solidarity and so on
this is needed so that we can also clarify the situation to our
respective community that has been in turmoil ever since this situation
has been exposed
2. bring back the discussion and its insight on the imc-finance list and
develop the discussion, maybe coming to a series of question to send to
all nodes to have feedback
and i think the point sheri spells out down in thos point much of this

PS for sheri: i don't think anybody objected to the need for the
regional gatherings. we can find other ways to make it happen without
the ford foundation. it will take some more time, but the feeling of
solidarity will be much greater and we will benefit from it to grow
