SUMMARY:

$1500 to help the Vancouver/Victoria/Alberta/Volunteer IMCs to help cover
costs for two servers which host several IMCs, Active2, and streaming
media.

***  a little background ***

This is a proposal to ask for funds to help maintain a couple of the
servers that benefit the network. The Vancouver Indymedia collective has
been providing support for three servers; namely, ender.indymedia.org,
hiro.indymedia.org and shiva.indymedia.org which comprise the western
Canadian indymedia infrastructure and have hosted Vancouver, Victoria,
Alberta and Volunteer for almost 3 years. Currently, we need financial
support to help maintain this infrastructure.

We don't really do any fund rasing here, too few members.
(members very busy on other local projects)

But, when ever we do get funds, generally we send half to ender.

We don't like money. (it motivates people into doing bad things)
Last year we had about $250.00
For 2003, I think we have about $85.00  (after another $50.00 was sent to
ender.)

Later this year, I'm hopping we can stream a weekly radio program.
However, it may be done off site. (just not sure how to deal with the costs
yet)
