If we limit this idea to rich countries, I'd agree.  But I'd really like for
there to be IMCs in places that CAN'T afford them.  I want IMCs where it's
impossible for them to be self-sustaining.  If we look at the distribution
of IMCs presently, we'll see that a bunch of rich countries have one or
several, while countries that are more clearly exploited do not.  I would
love to see more Asian, African and Latin American IMCs.  And I would love
for their bandwidth, computers, spaces and material to be paid for by
whomever can, as long as it's 'stringless'.

Ford Foundation want to use Indymedia to make themselves look good?  Someone
I doubt this, but even excapting that, who cares.  Let's get $50K from them,
spend $40K on regional meetings and then spend the remaining $10K
researching and reporting on how the Ford Foundation sucks.  How about with
every grant the network receives, we research and write indepth articles
about how the organization that made the grant is bad and post them as
lasting features with links from our financial full-disclosure page (not yet
created, but something else I think would be good for IMCs to have)?
