hi blue,

sorry that no one has yet responded to your earlier request.  i don't think it is because people only want to deal with requests for new stuff but most like because there isn't enough information and there isn't a request for a specific amount of money.   this list is empowered to make decisions about allocating the global funds to indymedia projects.  

it sounds like a great project you all are working on.  what is somewhat unclear is how much of this is an indymedia project and how much is a larger activist collective project?  have you all been in contact with any imcs in europe who could do the shipping?  it would be great to see if we could get a huge container load of computers to the middle east/mediterranean.  perhaps we can add that to the tech solidarity project's wish list.  they are nearly ready to send off the second shipment of nearly 200 computers.  so it's definitely doable.

but for the moment, having a specific amount would help.

also, sascha, can you tell us how much money is currently in the global bank account?  just help us in making upcoming decisions.
