I'll help with your application, assuming you don't mind me helping.

The current status is you divided up in to three stages:

 > 1) screening equipment: video projector, video
 > cassette and cd players, amplifier, speakers and
 > microphones
 >
 > 2) shooting equipment: mini dv camcorder, tripod,
 > microphone and lights.
 >
 > 3) editing equipment: pc with suitable ram and speed
 > facilities, capturing cord, editing software.

The whole package is quite expensive, so let's just work on the first  
one. Then we can explore what alternate funding sources can be used for  
the later stages.

You said the projector should cost about, (Rs.1,25,000)  (US $2,639). I  
recall that the Brasil imc last year put in a request for a projector,  
which they didn't end up getting, but it was also in that price range.  
I guess projectors are expensive. Let's see if we can get the same  
quality projector for less money in the US or Europe.

Regarding the other gear needed for screening, my guess is that it's a  
couple hundred dollars. The whole budget comes out to between $2500 and  
$3000 for the first stage.

What i think we should do is find out if we can get a cheaper projector  
of sufficient quality, and then get a price for the other screening  
equipment. Once we have that we can send the proposal here with a  
deadline of 4 weeks for debate and feedback. For emergency funding with  
prices less than $500 the deadline can be much shorter. But the idea is  
that we need to provide enough time for local imc's to read, discuss,  
and potentially respond to the proposal.

Amudhan can you look online for prices for the same quality of  
projector in the US and Europe or should we try and get somebody from  
the IMC in new york and some imc in europe to help us?
