| have been talking on the phone with Silvio, a compañero from indymedia 
| La Paz who asked us to send this letter because it is very difficult 
| for them to find access to computers or the internet right now. 
| Tomorrow [Tuesday], the situation will be more difficult because there 
| will be a general strike which incorporates all businesses and workers, 
| for this reason it is very difficult to be able to use the tools of the 
| internet.
| 
| We think that it is vitally important for everybody in the indymedia 
| network to receive all the support and solidarity which we can bring to 
| bear to help local IMC's when there are moments as difficult  as what 
| is facing indymedia Bolivia where they are risking their physical 
| security. For this we send this this proposal in reflection of all the 
| imcistas who participate in our network and provide mutual aid.

| We ask for $500 US for Indymedia Bolivia to be used as they need it 
| during their work and the crisis.

| Personal Translator's note:
| I've also been in contact with Silvio and support this proposal as well 
| as us asking for donations on our website both for a fund for the 
| families of those killed and to keep indymedia bolivia functioning 
| during the crisis. Indymedia La Paz has one computer on a desk in a 
| human rights office in La Paz but they can't afford a monitor, 
| keyboard, mouse, or power cable, so it's a resource going unused.
