hi,

since you are in uruguay evan, if people don't mind, i'll be happy to call them and talk about this.  an indymedia person in la has had some contact with their lawyer in the past.  we probably won't go that route, but i would use this contact as a way to talk to someone about this.

are there other people who are in la or close or have connections and would like to make this call?  is there more information we should have before doing this?  should we do it another way?  

i think it's a good idea to open up some communication with them and let them know this additional information that evan has shared etc.
