 "Comrades,

 This is an urgent call to the network of indymedia and to all friends and
to all allied.

 Whlile we talk and discuss, while we sleep, we eat and work and in general
while we live, Bolivia bleeds again below the boot of the repression.

 The government wants to hand over the gas to foreign corporations, like
spanish corporations has done with silver and gold. And people said no and
came out in the streets. Workers, students and even shopkeepers mobilised,
and the farmers cut off roads.

 The state repression cost lives, many lives. And we say "many" because we
know that in our sister Bolivia, our heroic sister Bolivia, we can't stop
counting dead people. Nobody remember the names, the faces and the works of
the dead.

 In the brest of this people that boils in our blood-in our blood of the
latin american people, in our bllod of the opressed, in our blood of the
rebels-one small window has opened to show to the world what over there is
happening.

 We talk about the comrades of the indymedia La Paz and indymedia
Cochabamba, who with almost nothing of means, with a million technical
problems, they are trying to show to the world how they live, they fight and
how they die in their country.

 We know that in the demonstration of the 19 of the September they have
suffered from the repression in their own flesh, because they where in the
first line, and we also know that this Saturday they have a new meeting
because they want to continue building the necessary alternative
comunication that is missing for finishing the withdraw of the mask of the
bolivian state.

 Yesterday, when argentina moved from the sound of the pans (cacerolas), we
ourselves felt this fraternal hug, without this we couldn't do even half of
what we did. Isn't now the hour for us, the indymedia people to raise the
flag of the Bolivia, our furiously beautiful and rebel hermana?

 We think that we have the experience on this matter, and that our brothers
and sisters don't need guardians or representatives (some months before we
have spoken about this with one letter).

 There is no lack of foreigns who arrive in the country with their cameras
and their illusions· i believe that in one country with an ancient culture,
with its own ethnic groups, languages and customs, it is difficult to
understand all of us, that they themselves have their own times and ways to
see life.

 For what we are sure is that today solidarity is called Bolivia.

 What we can do is a solidarity campaign and massive diffusion. At once we
from here (argentina) we can prepare a demonstration of photos in good
quality, a result of our pass from the jungle of Chapare and the city of La
Paz, which narrate the confrontations in the city and in the life of the
country during the February of this year. Maybe they could used for
collecting funds for the indymedia Bolivia, and for that we give them to
anyone who could use them. Also there are some very strong videos, and we
have to see how we can distribuite them worldwide.

 Can we think of some ideas for Bolivia and encourage the members of
indymedia Bolivia to think themselves a proposal of how to articulate the
international solidarity and to tell us exactly what they need?

 The comrades of indymedia Bolivia have their meeting today in night. The
events continues to accelerate and they continue working with no means. We
are observants.

 I clarify that I write from argentina and personally, but I think that
these words express the spirit and the feelings of everybody of my

Compañeras y compañeros:

Este es un llamado urgente a la red indymedia  y a todos sus amigos y
aliados.

Mientras hablamos y discutimos, mientras dormimos, comemos, trabajamos, en
suma, mientas nosotros vivimos,  Bolivia se desanga otra vez bajo la bota
de la represión militar.

El gobierno quiere entregar el gas a las corporaciones extranjeras, como
ayer los españoles se llevaron la plata y el oro. Y el pueblo dijo no y
salió a la calle. Los obreros, los estudiantes y hasta los comerciantes se
movilizaron, y los campesinos bloquearon las rutas.

La represión estatal se cobró vidas, muchas vidas. Y decimos "muchas"
porque sabemos que en nuestra hermana Bolivia,nuestra heroica hermana
Bolivia, los muertos nunca se terminan de contar. Nadie recuerda los
nombres, los rostros, los trabajos de los asesinados.

En el seno de ese pueblo que hierve en nuestra sangre -en nuestra sangre
de lationamericanos, en nuestra sangre de oprimidos, en nuestra sangre de
rebeldes- una pequeña ventana se ha encendido para mostrar al mundo lo que
allí sucede.

Hablamos de los compañeros de Indymedia La Paz e Indymedia Cochabamba, que
con casi nada de recursos, con miles de problemas técnicos, están tratando
de mostrar al mundo como se vive, se lucha y se muere en su país.

Sabemos que en la movilización del 19 de setiembre han sufrido la
represión en carne propia, por estar en la primera linea, y sabemos
también que él sábado tienen una nueva reunión para seguir construyendo la
necesaria alternativa de comunicación que hace falta para terminar de
sacarle la careta al estado boliviano.

Ayer, cuando Argentina se movía al son de las cacerolas, nosotros mismos
sentimos ese abrazo fraterno, sin el cuál no pudieramos haber hecho ni la
mitad de lo que hicimos. ¿No es hora de que nosotros, indymedieros del
mundo, levantemos la bandera de Bolivia, nuestra hermana rabiosamente
hermosa y rebelde?.

Creemos que tenemos experiencia al respecto, y que nuestros hermanos no
tienen de tutores o encargados (en una carta, meses atrás, hablamos sobre
eso).


No hace falta un contigente de extranjeros llegando al país con sus
cámaras  y sus ilusiones; personalmente opino que un país de cultura
milenaria, con sus propias etnias, idiomas y costumbres, es dificil de
enteder para la mayoría de nosotros, y que ellos mismos tienen sus propios
tiempos y formas de ver la vida.

De lo que si estamos seguros, es de que hoy la solidaridad se llama
Bolivia.

Lo que si podemos hacer es una campaña de solidaridad y difusión masiva.
Por lo pronto nosotros desde aquí (Argentina) podemos poner a disposición
una muestra de fotos de buena calidad, resultado de nuestro paso por la
selva del Chapare y la ciudad de La Paz, que narran los enfrentamientos en
la ciudad y la vida en el campo durante el mes de febrero de este año.
Quizás se pueda utilizar para juntar fondo para Indymedia Bolivia, y desde
ya la ponemos a disposición de quién quiera usarla. También hay algunos
videos muy fuertes, que tendremos que ver como pueden ser distribuidos
internacionalmente.


¿Podemos pensar una y mil ideas por Bolivia, y alentar a los miembros de
indymedia Bolivia para que piensen ellos mismos una propuesta de como
articular la solidaridad internacional y nos digan concretamente que
necesitan ellos?.

Los compañeros de indy bolivai se van a reunir esta noche. los hechos allí
se siguen acelerando y ellos siguen trabajando con 0 recursos. Estemos
atentos.

Aclaro que escribo desde argentina y a título enteramente personal, pero
que creo expresar el espíritu y los sentimientos de todos y cada uno de
mis compañeros y compañeras.
