Dear IMC Manila,
a lot of IMCs work without any office. Of course that also depends on
the local situation and i can understand that running indymedia from
internet cafes is a difficult situation, but on the other hand, a lot of
IMCs also take the consious decission not to get into a situation where
constant payment of rent requires the constant need to get new money.
You are asking for 3 months rent etc: do you have the money for the
coming months? And if so, why can't you get the first 3 months from the
same source? What will you do with the office, the computers and the 4
cameras that you ask for? will they be available for a general public?
All in all, i find this proposal (1) much to broad because you ask for
things that other IMCs don't even have, and (2) much to vague in the
description what you want to do with the space and equipment.
There are projects to get computers to other IMCs, and I think it would
be good to explore this possibilites first.
For the rest I don't think that we have the money to pay for the daily
running of an IMC, and certainly things like paper and cleaning supplies
cannot be paid from the global account. I think that really is yor own
responsibility.
Love and solidarity
