[Imc-finance] urgent: ars electronica application

hi,

first: i'm no liaison, so i assume the weight of what i say here is not
a lot. and i don't want to say a lot, just this:

there was some extremely emotional debate about the idea of this
applocation on irc. two people who have been active with indymedia for
years, on the international level as well, have expressed serious
criticism of the application.

i personally approve of the application but was attacked for a) selling
out indymedia to SAP and b) pushing a move by a non-existing global
indymedia while indymedia is perceived to not be a common global project
anymore.

i'd very much appreciate if the criticism was also expressed here while
the decision is still open.

because then it would be possible to have a discussion with some result
and not just an exchange of contrasting ideas with no effect.
