Anna,

Thanks for sending this,
Let's tell the truth:
Indymedia is perceived to not be a common global project,
but it is. It is a global network which is led and managed
by individuals and organizations who are not accountable to
any collective process. In addition, the nature of this
control is disguised as "non- hierarchical open non-
structure", while in truth there *is* structure which is
tight, controlled, selective, and fully committed to the
ideology and practice of exclusivist individualism. The
strucure is totally inaccessible to most of us who have been
very active in IndyMedia even for several years. It revolves
around the control of the technology, and characterised by a
refusal to co-operate.

How this situation is going to be changed toward direct
democracy, accountability, true co-operation, I don't know.
But i know if will not change unless we talk about it, name
it, examine it, and gain the allegiance of many liaisons
from many locals and global working groups, toward change.

Thanks again,
Petros
