see at the bottom globalise resistances uk, press release today, which they posted to the english Social forum site. Be aware this is a tiny organisation numbering a few hundred peolple mainly in london, and mainlt from the SWP. Note how they seem to seak on behalf of the movement.

What follows is a criticism of the SWP, and it's front organisiation Globalise Resisitance. In the UK- GR control access to the mainstream media - TV- newspapers . They are backed by the SWP, and tend to do the work of the state -- destroy the Antii-Capitalist-Globalisation Internation solidarity Movement. They have been resisiting the formation of City-wide fora, they have personally given me hastle and wasted my time -- and do either covertly or overtly. There leader is a learnard prof. of politics at York university and has wrtiing some quite successful introductions to Marxism - though these are elementary texts - he is I am afraid a bit misguided.

I know this site should not be used for person criticism, or heavy criticism of groups, or the maybe even my mail will not be welcome at some other sites but I feel so strong about this I will risk being thrown off this, and every other list I am on - i have little more to contribute anyway. Most genuine activists in the UK know about the damage the SWP, and their front organisation have done here. but a wider public need informing, in order to stop them in their tracks this time. It must be said, before they do any more damage  no matter how small. 

The SWP, recruits middle class youth from britians universites - young idealistic, and ambitious to learn how to organise events, and have power over others. The experince serves them well, when a lot of them get good professional capitalist jobs evetually after diching activism, and becoming bona fide right wingers. This is not true of all of them - some genuine lefts stay, now indocrinated into there simplistic interpretation of Trotskies Polemics, and literal application of some of lenin's slogans, that served a purpose in their time, but are not for this time.

What you see below this mail, which was posted earlier on this evenning to the esf site, is an advertisement for Globalise Resistance, the SWP, and some of there friends in France's Branch of Attac.  These groups are on the right of the movement, too far to the right for my stomach.

I would advice everyone to avoid,  GR and it's SWP, paper sellers, shouting through megaphone's 'Join our Right wing Cult'. They have sections in Europe, such as in Germany, where they equally as damaging.

This advertisement is urging you to attend the meetings where they have wangled a speaker, by beaurocratic bullying, and sly moves. They are advertising their meetings too. Don't waste your time and energy with them, engage in the real struggle.

The advert also exaggerates there size and influence - they are all PR and slogans, no substance, hardly any supporters, and a hugely inflated sense of their own importance. 

They are insignificant - an SWP front, which we know from the past will screw things up and put people off. They are only significant in the potential damage they can cause - hopefully that will be minimum. You will see these little people dotted around  Evian, shouting the loudest, but having nothing concrete to say.

It's about time this category of so called 'Trotskyite's - who are in reality nothing but childish right wing liberals - were frozen out. They are just two short hoops from being neo-liberals. They supported the labour party up until a few years ago in elections in Britain against other socialist candidates, even candidates from the Party I was in Then Scargill's Socialist Labour Party. can you believe it!
It was I who used to argue with some of their brainwashed comrades that they should join the socialist alliance in Britain. In the end they did when it was obvious even to the musty politically backward that Blair was a Tory - in fact a neo-liberal.

The joined the socialist alliance, dominated it, and now it has been destroyed. The Socialist Alliance was originally started by Pete Mcclaren, and Dave Spencer in Coventry, with the support of Militant/ now the Socialist Party - a member of which was a merit labour MP for Coventry. He was expelled from labour for being a Marxist. Another left MP, from Coventry John Hughes was also expelled. So these two stood against Labour in the following election in 1992, as part of this new socialist alliance. Nellist came very close to being elected, and now is a socialist party councillor here in Coventry. The behaviour of the SWP, in the alliance was so disruptive many of the original founder's have left, including the socialist party. The alliance spread around the country, particularly London, and Scotland, and went independent in Scotland. The SWP, are insignificant in Scotland

GR, will if given the chance ruin the Anti-capitalist anti-globalisation or International Solidarity Movement. I feel very passionate about this, hence my previous invective - they cannot be allowed to take up positions of leadership or power - in fact we shouldn't have any positions like this. But they want them. They want to call the shots and order people around , tell what to think - which is what they have been told by the amazing Alex calincos. you have seen the level of his comments on this site. God help us!

David Shayler:
                 the MI5 man who did a runner, and wrote a book of disinformation. Shayler was a put up job by MI5, to get out disinformation. He worked in the Deot. that monitored the SWP, and other Trots. What he wrote in his book was deliberately misleading - the SWP is full of budding MI5'ers either covert or overt.

Another past member:
Christopher Hitchens:Revolutionary turned neo-liberalist. well known journalist in UK, and the US - writes for Vanity fair; DAILY MAIL, and Sometimes the Guardian. He does the Washington diner party Circuit with the US - neo-liberals. keep an eye out for him.
These are the sort of people you are dealing with - they seek power, adulation, prestige, arrogant half-wits who are far too overeducated. they want to be admired

I feel sorry for all the genuine comrades who join GR, and the SWP - who really want to change the world - they get polluted, over-worked and then dejected - they then invariably fall out of politics. And the senior comrades live in comfort for sure - nowhere near the working class that they incessantly refer too, and who they believe they arte leading or working for their benefit. I have never seen a working class person in the SWP - they are too smart - they see right through their right owing liberal hypocrisy - posing as romantic revolutionary saviours of the working class. They are a joke but could be dangerous joke to the movement.

But they wont be a threat because they are so miniscule , even in Britain, to the size of the movemenent. but I will feel pain if they put even one more young idealistic persons off being active on the left. They have dome it to tens of thousand in Britain over the last twenty years - and some of those were excellent people.

  G8 PROTEST LATEST
  There could be no important time to protest against Bush and the G8. The credibility of Bush and Blair's war policy is in tatters. In Austria, Germany and France millions (literally) have been marching and striking against cutbacks and neo liberal policies in the last two weeks.

  There are several hundred people coming from Britain. There are still people booking up to come, so keep spreading the word. Here is the latest practical information, check it carefully because arrangements the other end have changed. For further enquiries contact Globalise Resistance on 020 7053 2071/2.

  What's going on?
  Proceedings start on Thursday 29 May with a number of forums including one on the media in Geneva and a Summit for Another World organised by NGO's probably in Annemasse.

  On Friday 30 May there are a number of Attac forums on globalisation and war ending with a forum at 8.15pm on Another World is Possible featuring Bernard Cassen from attac, Walden Bello from Focus on the Global South and a speaker from Globalise Resistance.
  These are at the Salle du Faubourg, Rue des Terreaux-du-Temple Geneva 8.

  On Saturday 31 May there are  counter summits on debt, the WTO, pensions & privatisation, and against permanent war and the occupation of Iraq. These start at 2pm.
  At 5pm there is an assembly of the social movements at in Geneva.
  The anti war assembly and the assembly of the social movements are at "Arditi" hall, Place du Cirque, in the center of Geneva.

  On Sunday 1 June there is a mass demonstration (proceeded by various blockades and actions).
  The main demo will be from the Swiss side, starting in Geneva it assembles at 10am in Jardin des Anglais.
  Globalise is keen on helping to organise a big anti capitalist anti war bloc on the demo with any other organsiations that want to be involved.

  Getting There
  There are still relatively cheap flights check Easyjet. Note: they fly from both Gatwick and Luton, so search around for the cheapest option.  GR is also putting on  coaches from Sheffield/Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow. There are minibuses going from Swansea and Canterbury.
  Phone the GR office for more info on transport and to book on the coaches.
  There are buses and trains from the airport into Geneva. Bus number 10 takes you in to the centre.

  When you get to Geneva
  There will be GR people all the time at the main convergence point in Geneva at the Maison des Associations, rue des Savoises, just off Place du Cirque near the centre of Geneva, go there for information, getting orientated etc. You will be able to get GR people on:  00 41 (0) 79 29 27 181 which is a Swiss mobile number.

  Accommodation - Important update
  The situation has changed in the last few days. Most of the meetings and the big demo are in Geneva. The Geneva activists camp at 'Bout du Monde' now looks like the best option because it is closer to the centre of Geneva. To get there you need the number 3 bus from Place du Neuve, close to the convergence centre. Take the bus right to the end of the line and the camp will be signed from there. It will be open from Wednesday night. If you haven't got other accomodation you MUST bring a tent and a sleeping bag, it gets cold at night.

  At the camp Globalise people will be part of an anti war / anti cap zone along with other groups. Look for the flags!
