is seeking creative expressions of activism/ DIY media / social change
commentary and subversive screen based type work for CINEMA CONCRETE
CINEMA CONCRETE ( 20/10/01 ) is a one nght open air public cinema
experience in inner city Sydney. Utilising public space CINEMA CONCRETE
aims to host a diverse program of video activism of both local and
international
content .
Short Category
Works up to 10 minutes in length are invited (in exceptional cases a
longer length may be considered)
on the following formats
VHS, DV, Beta
Deadline: 28th september
works screened will receive a fee of $AUD70
Subvertisement Category
CINEMA CONCRETE COMPETITION
an open call for subvertisements .
Works up to 60 seconds in length are invited that engage critically and
playfully with the TV advertisement
The following formats are acceptable
VHS, DV, Beta
MYSTERY 1st Prize,
Deadline . It is anticipated that some subvertisements will be
generated during Temporary Autonomous Zone ( TAZ ) at Imperial Slacks
Gallery, Sydney. Deadline for TAZ participants is extended to 19th
October. All other entries should be received no later than 10
October , 2001.
Deadline:
TAZ 19 Oct.
Others 10 Oct.
