Hi all
next week end, from friday 20 to sunday 22, will take place an east atlantic
indymedia meeting in bern, switzerland. the call up is going since last
summer in imc-europe mailing list, but till now we had quiet few
inscriptions. we had feedback from imc italy, uk, belgium and deutschland.
(all in all, about 35 people coming)
what about your indymedia? did you get invitation?

 what: 
 indymedia meeting of the east atlantic and european imcs.
 
 where: 
 it will take place in a boyscout house in zollikofen, a small village which is by train about 10 minutes away from berne.
 if you want to get some camping experience as well, you can take your own tent with you, there's enough space arround the house.
 
 when: 
 friday 20. until sunday 22.9.2002.
 we'd like to start with an opening-plenum at friday (20.9.) afternoon/evening.
 
 infos: 
 at the same time there's a exhibition at the reitschule in berne about the
 g8 in genoa (for further infmormations http://www.memoria.ch) with several
 workshops. at friday evening there will be a film + performance, at saturday
evening there'll be a presentation about the indymedia palestine project...
 there's a big interchange of video material for the italian-swiss archive
 planned, so please take your videos with you if you have got any.
 
 it's not sure by now wether we'll manage to have internet access there or
 not, but for certain you will have it at the reitschule in berne (that's a
 autonom cultural center).
 
 we hope to be able to get enough money to finance the accommodation (the
 food will cost you a little bit) totaly, but if not, we could need money from
 other "rich" imcs.
 
 to bring with you:
 - sleeping bag 
 - bathing suit (the house is next to a river)
 - there's a big interchange of video material for the italian-swiss archive
 planned, so please take your videos with you if you have got any.
 
 for logistic reason we'd like to make a kind of a inscription. so please
 send us (one per imc) an e-mail with the following questions answered by the
 17th september tothe following email adress: infoimcmeeting@lok.com
 
 - how many people of your imc will participate?
 - when do you arrive and when do you leave?
 - do you stay longer (only if you need an accommodation)?
 - if you arrive by car: how many?
 - which language do you prefer/understand?
 - do you have any special needs?
 
if you arrive before friday to help to prepair the meeting: it is important to
contact us now at infoimcmeeting@lok.com, so we can inform you more detailed
and organize a sleeping place in bern. if you want to arrive earlier to help
by the (logistical) preparations we suggest that you come at wednesday, 18st
september. there'll be a meeting at wednesday, 7pm at the reitschule.
there'll be an information telephone-number of the genoa exhibition project
(at reitschule - www.memoria.ch), which can be used by indymedia activists
as well: for example if you'd arrive earlier and need a contact: 0041/(0)31

AGENDA SUGGESTIONS (work in progress in imc-europe mailing list)
projects:
- Towards an Autonomous Space at the European Social Forum in Florence
November 2002. Outcome of the PGA meeting. The proposal is to discuss the
contribute to this space from the IMC network
- workshops proposed inside the ESF by imc's activists(Palestine/Israeli
communication startegies and media protest)
- NGV, Europa newsreel, Videoteca Geometrie della memoria: global video
archives are growing!
