Harsh and I have tried to get communication with those
operating India Indymedia, as well as offering to give
support and help, and have had no result. So we can
only conclude that the editorial collective is closed
and not transparent. Therefore, where is the "open
publishing"? Where is the accountability?

Who are the "Madurai collective"? I don't live in
Madurai, I live in Kolkata. Madurai is just one city -
why should these people prevent people from other
parts of India joining? Why won't they allow others to
join the editorial team, or is this just exclusively
for Tamils? If they don't respond to any messages on
their IMC India Process list and won't respond to
direct emails, what do we do then? If IMC global
process group won't respond, then what on earth can we
as people who aspire to help administer IMC India and
prevent its abuse do?

One important question: does India Indymedia support
the publication of incitement to rape and murder named
individuals as well as minority groups? I don't mind
people posting arguments from a BJP stand-point or
those who wish to condemn jehadi terrorism. What
matters is the death threats and constant violent
agitation by Hindutva forces on Indymedia. This cannot
be tolerated, even in the name of free speech. You do
not understand India if you tolerate this.

Indymedia India is not open, accountable or
transparent as it stands and the newswire is an
abomination.

Ganesh.
