  You both live in Kolkata - i strongly suggest you contact each 
other (offlist - better *not* to send private address, phone on the list),
and spend a half-day to get to know each other. Face-to-face really makes
a big difference from email...

And then for your next meeting consider announcing it on imc-india -
at a "public" place (cafe, whatever). Chances are there are other
people in Kolkata who are already on the list and would like to
participate. And in any case, even if just 2 people is not enough to
start an independent collective, it makes sense to start off a group
with more transparency rather than less - since lack of openness and
communication is part of the present crisis...
