As elected leaders, reporters or editors to the global media, your
responsibility to present factual information is incumbent upon you.
The most pressing issue today is the threatened preemptive war on Iraq
by the Bush-led
far right wing junta now ruling Washington.
There is no justification for this war and the Bush war rhetoric on
Iraq is an extension of the Defense Planning Guidance, now adopted as
the National Security Strategy.
It solidifies a long held american strategy of global dominance.
Imagine, global dominance!
Not since the Ceasars in Rome, Gendis Khan, Napoleon or the Nazis has
such a blatant attempt to rule the world has been contemplated.
If history is to teach us anything, there will be natural opposition to
it.
Who would oppose such rule? Would they become known as freedom fighters
or terrorists?
That's the dilemma facing each and everyone of us...on what side of the
fence do we sit?
Making this decision will not be easy but as leaders, reporters and
editors on a global stage, your task is at hand to present this problem.
Failing to understand the consequences to such an obviously flawed
strategy will endanger all our lives.
