The links are meant to be dark red and dark blue, not pink and red, 
but this can (and will) be fixed. It is really important that more 
people make the time and take the effort to spell out their 
preferences this way.

Hmmmm... ok. Actually, I did want to have the picture provide a very 
dark banner across the top in contrast to the light look of the main 
text area, but maybe it is overdone. In a day or two I will probably 
get access to a development server myself and can then load a couple 
of alternatives, rather than having to waste someone else's time and 
effort to do this.

Again, this will be fixed within the overall banner design.

The top of the left hand navigation column says "english", which will 
be followed by whatever other languages we can get the site working. 
I have seen several other IMC sites use the same place, so there is 
some consistency in this logic.
