Hello,
You were absolutely right. The jakarta list was corrupted when
the mail server crashed on the 15th of May. I restored it from
backup, but some of the list administrator's options may need to
be reset from the web interface.
I also had to re-subscribe the subscribers, since they were
fairly recent additions. This is why they've receieved the
welcome message a second time with a new password in it.
