To whom it may concern.

We are two students studying Dance and visual art and International
Relations at Brighton and Sussex Universities respectively. Our third
member is a Moroccan national currently working as a carer. He is fluent
in Arabic.

We are all human beings unable to ignore the suffering of the Iraqi
people and plan to spend a month in Iraq from the 15th December with
pen, paper and video cameras to document the voices of the Iraqi people
from all different parts of their society. We plan to visits schools,
hospitals, universities and homes and meet people from different social
and political organisations such as the Friendship, Solidarity and
Peace Organisation, based in Baghdad.

Over past months we have been working on a piece entitled Seeing
through the blindfold. We have been seeking to bring into light the
manipulation and concealment of the truth by the worlds media,
regarding the so called War on Terrorism in the Middle East. Upon
returning from Iraq we shall be devising and performing further with a
newly formed theatre laboratory in Brighton. We intend to publicise our
experience as widely as possible in schools, universities, to anybody
and everybody. We have close links with Che-Leila at Sussex University
who we shall be communicating with throughout our time in Iraq.

We are writing to you to ask for any financial contributions you are
able to help with, for without your support this trip may not be possible.

Yours in serenity.
