Toni

I'm not sure what you mean in the last post as follows:-

>* issue *

>currently, we have many frontpages that user can choose to see.
>however, ONLY ONE (called Features) is completely based on the newswire.
>others are partly based on it, partly written by the people
>who maintain the imcuk website.

>there's no visual/design distinction between these two models,
>apart from the fact that the Features page is the default front page.

How can the user choose a different frontpage? Doesn't
uk.indymedia.org always come to the same page?

I think that you mean that when the user follows the links:-

UK| World| Resistance01| PeaceNotWar| Hackney	-

-:there is no visual difference from the in front page layout?

If so - I am in total agreement. The user needs something that says
'YOU ARE HERE' wherever that may be in the site.

At the minute, the site is a confusing ocean of text. As for your
thoughts on the solution, that is all helpful and taken on board. As
these specific issues come up I'll post on them.

Also, I was thinking of putting site versions up on some free
webspace that I've got, when and as they are ready, then posting to
relevant groups with a link. Yes?

Status of design > Currently working on a solution for the banner/masthead.
