it does. when i say 'frontpage' i mean any page
linked from the top menu that you mention below.
since all those pages appear in the middle.
it is slighlty confusing terminology.
but all those pages can easily become front pages
by using cookies that will store user's preference
(i'm not so much for doin that right now).

below point is how i see it too, but i ment to say
something different.

other pages edited by imcuk volunteers like
World,Resistance,PeaceNotWar are not just the
highlights and summaries of the imc-uk newswire.
they contain information from many other sources
including own opinions of editors - which is not
for worse, but surely different. all i thought
is that this difference could be shown in the design.

sf.indymedia has elegant and widely accepted solution to this
as you noted some time ago.

of course. great!
linus (torvalds) law says: release early, release often.
since it gives your work chance to be commented on early enough to
incorporate suggestions and it makes colaboration more likely
to happen. this is something i (unfortunately) didn't follow
with my coding that i have been doing last 2-3 months :(.

:)

GLOBAL REDESIGN happening!

seems to be moving forward to redesign appearance of imc
website in general ...

early post about proposal

latest acctual PROPOSAL:

detailed EXPLANATION
http://gk41.home.mindspring.com/2.0/explanation.htm

it shows well how comments helped to shape this proposal
for global redesign since it was released very early
on free web space ... i think that the initial post
by George is in December thread of imc-process

interesting, he seems to be inspired by SF redesign too :)

the best thought i can offer on design is not be afraid
to be radical. there was so little done on design
that the current one shouldn't be taken too seriously.
sometimes, that is the only way to come up with the real
(i.e. not cosmetic one) improvement.
i would start from what would be the best solution.
not from what's currently out there.
