imc-london-wg SUMMARY for features working group
-----------------------------------------------
Original proposal for set up of features working group here:
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/imc-london-wg-work/2001-
December/000015.html
SUMMARY (extract):
"Function/goals: To upload (highlighted-from-newswire(s)) feature stories to
the
middle column of the site. One feature a week for a period of three months
beginning 24/12/2001. Two weeks notice if we decide to quit."
REPORT:
We have more or less done this. We have given editorial consideration to major
stories eg WEF conference in NY and so not highlighted the Newswire to the
middle column during that time. We've also been limited to what comes in on
Newswire, eg stories cross-posted to many IMCs and not UK stories being
published sometimes.
FUTURE:
This is also a proposal to Imc-london-wg-work for another three month period,
same project.
----
+ We also wish to encourage other UK Indymedia groups to periodically publish
summaries of their work, as good simple working practice that helps people get
involved if they can see what is going on and how.
