Hey everyone,

my roll call is at the bottom of this mail
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/public/imc-process/2002-March/002999.html
I'll make a start as liason for London working group [one of the two London
groups that administer the IMC UK website].

I think you have been doing this very well already - keeping imc-uk-process
updated about global goings-on.

The inter-IMC discussion will (hopefully) actually be inter-local IMC _group_
discsussion. This discussion will (hopefully) feed into the global decision-
making imc-process list, together with global working groups and individuals
doing global work.

For this decision-making reason, and also for the reason that there are now a
number of groups that make up IMC UK (similarly to Brazil, as another example),
i suggest that you act as a liason for the London collective, which you
effectively are a part of. Then the other IMC UK groups: Bristol IMC, London
working group, and soon (hopefully) Wales, Manchester and others, will also too
have their own liasons.

That way we also promote diversity, instead of a homogenous conception of many
diverse groups in IMC UK. (This is also how the data is kept currently in the
global contacts database.)

Also an important point is that a liason is a subjective agent; and _how_ you
communicate, convey, interpret, what focus on, etc, will be very different to
how I would, for example, in the same situation. So i think diversity is a key
feature from a pragmatic point of view as well, in this function.

So in the meantime I volunteer to be the Liason for London working group. And I
will ask Bristol IMC to get someone here too.

regards

Richard
