[IMC Bombay] Help in Gujrat-the shared footage group

Hi, 

The Shared Footage Group has been working in Gujrat since May documenting on video, the situation here since the massacres. The footage will be freely available to anyone who wants it, mainly film makers and lawyers. They've done brilliant work so far. There is a spectrum of issues theyre working on. I can mail you in detail if you so wish. 

For now they need volunteers. Basically there are three stages-pre production, production and post production. I'm not sure about post prod but i think its converting to other formats, editing, stuff like that. 

Pre prod requires you to follow a lead they have, get a story out of it, trace people related to it, get interviews, detective work basically (pre prod is by far the most interesting!)

Production is the actual filming. If you are a camera person you could be of great help here. 

Also I know they need things like cds and hi8 tapes so if you have a few spare ones send them over!

A group of us from Sophia are here in Ahmedabad for a week. What we've seen is shocking. Unlike popular belief, things are not normal, and I doubt  they will be for a long long time. If you've wanted to do something but didnt know what, this is your chance! mail asap. they would like to finish their work here by next month so the sooner the better!
