Dear Jay,
I am an Indian citizen with six years of experience in
the Indian media industry (documentary film,
television, event management, promotions, etc.)
I have worked on projects in Gujarat, Documenting the
damage and helping with the disaster relief machinery,
and I have some experience in teaching Media
Students.
As you all know, the next World Social Forum summit is
going to be held in Hyderabad, in India. Alternative
TV channels from across the globe are going crazy
working out the logistics of getting teams together in
the part of the plant to be able to cover the event.
Being in documentary field, I have the advantage of
knowing many of the organizational staff of the event
personally. But due to the lack of financial capacity,
I have not been able to start filming it yet.
I would like to offer my services to your organization
as a local correspondent in India. I expect no salary
other than what you feel I deserve. I only wish to be
compensated for equipment hire charges (audio, video,
technician) and travel expenditures.
I also have attached details about the film I had
worked on last. I would love to be able to sell you
rights to broadcast the film. I can send you a sample
if you are interested.
