Abolition of the Death Penalty



At 6 p.m., YMCA, Wodehouse road, near Regal Cinema, Colaba, Mumbai

India is currently one of only 81 countries worldwide to retain use of the death penalty.  Over the last 30 years there have been more and more countries each year choosing to remove this cruel and extreme form of punishment from their judicial system.  Join our public debate to talk about India's role in this international controversy and discuss whether the use of the death penalty is still valid today.
