Hello,
here is the date for the first computer workshop happening.

Indymedia computer workshop, 
Edinburgh
Saturday 1st February, 11am - 12.30pm

This is an event that it would be good for all of you who want to be involved with Indymedia to come to.

The workshop will be facilitated by me, Steve and SpaceBunny.
If you want to take part at the workshop, then contact only me, please directly, and by email.
You get added to the list of participants and will get back a reply with the contact details and the describtion of how to get there.

It would make sense to focus on:
- how to clean out the newswire
- how to change the IMC UK frontpage ( as intro )
- how to use "WinSCP" to access the server and download IMC Scotland 'include' file for Scotland subsection on IMC-UK
- how to use "Notepad", "Wordpad" or any text editor to edit the basic html of this file
- how to check the basic html in "Dreamweaver"
- how to upload the edited IMC Scotland to the server
- looking at the result and being happy

if possible in the time available, it might be also good to mess around with the "mir"-system and how to get people on  IRC. 

That might be enough for the first 1.5 to 2 hours, especially if we have to wait for the connection. (world  wide wait).
