HOMES NOT JAILS TO OCCUPY CITY BUILDING ON SUNDAY MORNING
Homeless people and squatters have announced their plan to occupy
a vacant city building on Sunday morning. The location is secret
until the action occurs. The group is demanding an immediate
release of all city buildings to serve as housing. This month,
a similar action in Montreal forced the city into negotiations,
leading to a historic squatter victory when they won amnesty for
their actions and the release of an enormous vacant building for
community use. SF Indymedia will release the location and provide
on-site coverage as it happens. HMJ is encouraging people to stop
by and provide support.
