Hi
A reminder that we have a Sheffield IMC meeting tonight, 6-8pm in
the Drum (in the former NCPM, across the road from the Showroom).
Also if anyone can make it into town at lunchtime it would be good
to have a report of Workers' Memorial Day on Indymedia:
Sheffield Trades Union Council will be holding a ceremony in the
Peace Gardens, Pinstone Street, on 28 April at12.30pm with speakers
George Brumwell (Health and Safety Commissioner and UCATT general
secretary) and Cllr. Marjorie Barker (Lord Mayor of Sheffield).
Contact the secretary, Bill Ronksley, on 0114 2750744.
More background info:
INTERNATIONAL WORKERS' MEMORIAL DAY
Worldwide millions die each year as a result of workplace hazards.
Most don't die of mystery ailments, or in tragic "accidents". They
die because an employer decided their safety just wasn't that
important a priority. The global trade union movement wants
employers to be accountable for workers' health and safety. This is
the theme for International Workers' Memorial Day, 28 April 2003.

Any reports that are added to the http://uk.indymedia.org/ site will
be accessible from the new Sheffield section when it's launched -- I
have classified some of the old newswire reports -- see the right
column on this page:
