[imc-tech-solidarity] RE: [Seasc] imc-tech-solidarity funding proposal

Clarification regarding money. We've been caling around and it looks like
the rental of the truck from seattle to portland will be $85 plus gas.
Given that these things hog gas it'll probally cost another $50 at least
for gas.

The ram thing, $25 per computer for one DIMM seems really high to me. Part
of taking the machines to portland and then to oakland is that we can use
the resources from both accrc and freegeek to fix up teh computers.
Unfortunately these machines use a particular type of ram, older style
DIMM's which are a little harder to come by than the even older EDO ram.
Also there aren't monitors with these computers, we're getting those from
freegeek/accrc.

I think that it would be great if the seattle imc could chip in. But you
shouldn't break your bank doing it. Josh and i are thinking of coming up
from portland today. Perhaps we could sit in on the meeting and answer any
questions that come up. Also it's just fun to see everybody.
