Here is our latest draft.

Goals:

a.. to provide internet access in marginal populous neighborhoods.
b.. to teach on the use of indymedia to promote alternative/participative
communication.
c.. to encourage practices in surrounding areas.
d.. to give technical support when/where needed (repairments, training,
etc).

Preliminary tasks:

  1. We seek for communal centers, libraries, organizations, etc. in
conditions to allocate a small computers lab.
  2. Contact techs, NGOs, etc., so then we can evaluate our work capacity
for the project.
  3. Then we make some draft sketches with the network design / standalones
distribution...
  4. Also, we're planning to join (co-work) with some electronic engineers
(friends) to try a connectivity alternative: 'RONJA' (wireless networking
thru home-made light transmissors/receptors).

Tasks pending to the shipment:

  1. Once we have the details on what is coming here, we can finish the
network design and standalones (with modem) distribution.
  2. After some planning, we distribute tasks/responsabilities among the
different groups/individuals working (permanently or not) in the imc-rosario
tech commission

Also:
i'd ask you to send a detailed list of components in each computer (PC #:
cpu, mem, hdd, etc....) so we can verify it from the start (arrival).
