Thank you very much for forwarding our appeal to some of your friends
and also for suggesting some technology support. As a matter of fact we
DO need and have requested for usable technology infrastructure: PCs,
printers, scanners etc. A formal appeal made specifically for that
purpose is attached. 

As we are not an old organization, we are not adept in resource
mobilization. May we request you to commend our request to a your
friends / relevant agencies that may give away their machines?

This came throught on the global wire editorial list.  I thought it
belonged here.

I have been thinking there are so many possibilities with sharing
surplus technology, and wondering if we could think how to leverage the
project.  Start hitting up corporations for computers in bulk.  (And the
shipping too?)

I am near Boeing and uh- Microsoft and have been talking to someone to
introduce us to them.  Going too slow for all the possibilities.

I have personally had the opportunity to meet folks from all over, due
to a State Department program.  I could easily have placed 5000 units in
this year.  Kurdistan, Iraq, Pak.Kasmere, India would be all up on the
needs list.
