That sounds exellent. Actually we only want five computers now, because the
room we will get is much smaller than we thought. Concerning customs: If you
send it to an NGO here we don't have to pay taxes, would you do that?
Below is the proposal for IMC Finance - can you process it like this or do I
need to write more?

Thanks so much,

Request for computers and funds for IMC Beirut

1. The project

We have organized a room in a house that serves for art exhibitions and as
meeting space for several initiatives. We can fix a garden house
(rainproof) which would fit five computers. We don’t have to pay rent for
it.

We would like to use it
-as an open internet access space for activists

 - to do workshops, which we have to do until now in different places, mainly
internet cafes.

 - to edit the website, which we have to do currently from internet cafes and
workplaces, because no one has internet at home

 - generally to encourage people to write articles on computer also for a
leftist newspaper project

2. Computers

We would like to have 5 used computers from the US or Europe.

3. Funds

We would like to apply for money to renovate and furnish the garden house.
That mainly means to put in a door and two windows and could be done for:
US$300

If we buy tables and chairs used, we could do with: US$100

For arabic keyboards we need: US$50

Sum: US$450
