[imc-tech-solidarity] Chile en el proyecto de los computadores

I'm re-sending this email, because it seems that we are not being counted
for this project, and we are really interested in it. We'd appreciate that
in further emails about the computers to south america, the IMC Chile is
pointed as one of the participating IMCs. We are working hard to accomplish
this and feel that nobody's paying attention. Not that our work is more
important than anyone's, but we are all into this.

Estoy re-enviando este email, porque parece que no estamos siendo tomados en
cuenta para este proyecto, y estamos realmente interesados. Apreciariamos si
en los proximos emails sobre los computadores para el Cono Sur, el CMI Chile
fuera incluido como uno de los CMIs participantes. Estamos trabajando duro
para concretar esto y sentimos que nadie esta prestandonos atencion. No es
que nuestro trabajo sea mas importante que el de otros, pero TODOS estamos
en esto.

Mi nombre es Pablo, y soy el responsable del IMC Chile para el proyecto de
Tech Solidarity para el Cono Sur.

Escribo para comunicar a la lista de tech-solidarity de la participacion del
IMC Chile en este proyecto, y para que nos tomen en cuenta para cualquier
accion futura en el desarrollo y realizacion del proyecto.

En nuestras ultimas reuniones hemos decidido los siguientes puntos:

- Estamos dispuestos a utilizar dinero de donaciones hechas por fundaciones
como la OSI, siempre y cuando sea sin condiciones. Es decir, rechazamos
cualquier intencion por parte de estas fundaciones de introducir sus
intereses comerciales o politicos en nuestra red y en nuestra forma de
trabajo.

- Estamos coordinando con ONGs y otras agrupaciones para los tramites
legales que sean necesarios para el traslado.

- Nuestra intencion es, al igual que el IMC Ecuador, proponer a las
organizaciones de base que a cambio de su cooperacion con el IMC, nosotros
les donaremos equipos para que puedan realizar esta actividad y fortalecer
su trabajo como organizacion.

Estamos trabajando para concretar este proyecto de la mejor manera para todo
el Cono Sur.

My name is Pablo, and I'm the responsible in the IMC Chile for the Tech
Solidarity project for South America.

I'm writing to communicate our participation in this project. We want to
cooperate in the development and realization of this project.

In our last meetings we have come to the following decisions:

- We agree to use the money that organizations as the OSI could donate for
this, only if this money has "no strings attached". We refuse to cooperate
with the introduction of their commercial or political interests in our
network.

- We are coordinating with NGOs and other groups, the legal paperwork that
might be necessary.

- Our intention is, like the IMC Ecuador, to propose to local grassroots
organizations that, in exchange for their cooperation with us, we can give
them the equipment they could need for this and to make their work stronger.

We are working to make this project happen in the best way for all the South
American IMCs.
