Receiving donations:
News in Argentina Legal situation

- Last week law about receiving donations was modified. Now ONG must have
more than 5 years working to receive donations. This is not the case of
the ONG we were working with, so we must find a new ONG. I think this is
not going to take to much time... a few days (1 or 2 if we are lucky).
-Once I have the information of the new ONG I´ll send an email with it
because we are going to need a letter (i´ll write it) to certificate the
intention to donate and to who are you donating (our ONG). This letter
must be certificates by the argentinian consulate.Once you have this letter certificated i´ll need you to send it to
argentina (the original or a legal certificated copy).
- I´m working toghether with the peopble form IMC Rosario (we think is
better this way to deal with lawyers, etc.) We want if its possible to
receive about 80 computers (40 for rosario and 40 to bs as).  Once the
number of computers that each IMC is going to received I´ll need to have
the specific inventory of the computers that we (only argentina) will
receive.
- Once i have all this things... the letter certificated from argentinian
consulated and the specific inventory we are going to need about a month
to have all papers in orther.
- Good news are that it seems to be ok to receive thing coming from
Uruguay if they come with the proper papers from USA.

Novedades sobre la situación legal en Argentina para recibir donaciones

- La ley de donaciones fue modificada la semana pasada. Ahora las ONGs
para poder recibir donaciones tiene que tener por lo menos 5 años
trabajando. Ese no es el caso de "nuestra ONG" por eso tenemos que
conseguir una nueva. Creo que esto no va a tomar mucho tiempo (espero 1 o
2 días)
- Una vez que tengamos la information de la ONG que nos va a ayudar vamos
a necesitar una carta intención de los donación referida a esta ONG y
certificada por el consulado argentino en Estados Unidos. Yo voy a
escribir esta carta y la voy a enviar porque entiendo que han tenido
problemas previamente con este punto. Una vez que la carta esté
certificada por el consulada vamos a necesitar que nos manden o bien el
original o bien una copia legalizada por escribano.
- Estoy trabajando conjuntamente con la gente de IMC Rosario (pensamos que
de esta forma es más fácil encarar los asuntos legales, etc.) Nosotros
vamos a queres, si es posible, recibir alrededor de 80 computadoras (40
para rosario - 40 para buenos aires) Una vez que se sepa cuántas
computadoras va a recibir cada IMC vamos a necesitar el inventario
especifico de  lo que nos va a llegar a nosotros.
-UNa vez que tengamos todos estos papeles: la carta certificada por el
consulado argentino en USA y el inventario de los que vamos a recibir,
vamos a necesitar un mes para tener los papeles para poder recibir las
cosas.
- La bueno noticia es que aparentemente no habría problema para recibir
los equipos desde uruguay siempre y cuando estos vengan con los papales
apropiados desde USA.
